OhareRides is operated by Guru Pro Data, Inc (DBA oharerides.com), Chicago, IL. This page explains what we collect when you book a ride and how we use it.

1. What we collect

To book a ride we need your name, phone number, email, pickup and drop-off addresses, ride date and time, number of passengers, and (optionally) flight number, child-seat needs, and trip notes. When you pay we use Stripe, which collects your card details directly — we never see or store full card numbers. We log technical data (IP, browser, pages viewed) to detect abuse and improve the site.

2. How we use it

Your information is used to dispatch your driver, send confirmations and tracking links, charge for the ride, and respond to questions. We use email and SMS for booking-related messages only. We do not sell your data, and we do not run third-party advertising trackers on this site beyond what is described in cookies below.

3. Cookies and analytics

We use minimal first-party cookies to remember your booking session and language preference. We may use server-side analytics to count page views — no third-party ad tracking is set on the booking flow.

4. Sharing with service providers

We share the minimum necessary information with: Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), Twilio (SMS, when configured), Telegram (operator dispatch), OpenStreetMap / Photon / Nominatim (address geocoding). Each runs under their own privacy policy.

5. Retention

Booking records are kept for the duration of our business relationship and as required by tax and accounting law (typically 7 years). You can request deletion of personal data at any time by emailing [email protected]; we will remove what we can while keeping the legally required minimum.

6. Your rights

You may request a copy of the data we hold on you, correct it, or ask us to delete it. Illinois residents have additional rights under the Illinois Personal Information Protection Act. California residents have rights under the CCPA. Contact us at [email protected] with any request.

7. Children

OhareRides is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

8. Changes

We update this page when our practices change. The "Effective" date at the top reflects the most recent version.
